*In advance of its Dec. 1 arrival in theaters, a clip has been released from the RZA-directed film “Love Beats Rhymes.”

The minute-long teaser shows controversial rapper Azealia Banks in the lead role of 25-year-old aspiring rapper, Coco, who has switched up her flow and is playing her latest bars for her male group members. But one of them isn’t feeling it.

She gets into a creative tug-a-war with Mahlik — played by John David Washington, the son of Denzel Washington — who refuses to give in to her demands.

In addition to Banks, Common, Jill Scott and Lorraine Toussaint round out the cast.
