On the RED Carpet of the 2017 Soul Train Awards Honoring Toni Braxton & SWV [EUR Exclusive! WATCH]

*Taped at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on November 5th, The 2017 Soul Train Awards presented by BET will premiere this Sunday, November 26 at 8/7c.

For the third time, the show is hosted by Erykah Badu the Godmother of Soul who entertained the crowd in good company with amazing soulful performances from a star studded line up.

The show honors Toni Braxton with the Legend Award along with SWV being the recipient of the Lady of Soul Award.

Reporting for EURweb, Miss Conversation Piece got a chance to catch up with all the celebrities that walked the grey carpet to ask what makes an artist a legend.

Before the show, Joe Jackson made a rare appearance & stopped by to tell us what he taught Michael and Janet Jackson to make them legends. Up next is Method Man solo artist from superstar group Wu-Tang and he told EURweb the number one thing that makes a legend is “talent.” Joining the conversation next was Seven Streeter gave a killer performance to warm things up for the main show. She joined EURweb briefly to speak on working towards being a legend involves praying, preparation, and hard work. Bell Biv Devoe stated that to become legendary, “You gotta take some losses; you have to be willing to put it on the line and go for what you believe in.” Bell Biv Devoe also spoke on the possibility of a movie focusing on their subgroup of New Edition. We tried to get Tank to open up about Tyrese being renamed “Cryrese” due to his recent social media posts but the crooner kept it classy as he looked in his tailored green tux.

The 2017 Soul Train Awards nominations span across 12 different categories. Solange leads with seven total nominations and Bruno Mars follows with a total of six.
