Marlon Wayans Sets Netflix Standup Special from Washington D.C.

*Marlon Wayans is the latest comedian to score his own Netflix stand-up special.

The actor, currently starring in his own NBC comedy “Marlon,” will film the program this fall in Washington, D.C., according to The Hollywood Reporter. The special will be produced by Wayans, Rick Alvarez, Steve Harris and 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg.

The project continues Wayans relationship with the streaming service after starring in and writing the Netflix film “Naked,” which was released in August.

The comedian joins Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, Louis C.K., Tracy Morgan, Kevin James and Ellen DeGeneres in securing Netflix stand-up specials.

Wayans is currently traversing the country on his “The Reintroduction” tour.
