*If you thought bad boy and media whore Martin Shkreli was the only person silly enough (or smart enough?) to spend over a million dollars to buy a music album, you are wrong.

Somebody somewhere just spent $1,006,600 to win Shkreli’s bidding war on eBay for the single copy of Wu-Tang Clan’s “Once Upon a Time In Shaolin.”

It’s worth noting that Shkreli paid over $2 million for the album several years ago, so it appears he’s in for a big loss. If so, it couldn’t have happened to nicer a-hole.

The question is HOW is the winner gonna is “winner” going to get his/her hands on the prize is unclear Martin Shkreli, is locked up.

If you missed it, Shkreli was sent to lockdown earlier this week after a judge revoked his bail when he issued a bounty via Facebook for a strand of Hillary Clinton’s hair. The judge didn’t think his bounty was funny.

Last week, Shkreli told The Blast he was dumping the album because The RZA allegedly promised him it would be the group’s last when that wasn’t the case.

Since he’s in jail, it’s obvious he use the cash to maybe you know … get OUT of jail?!

Hold up. Wait a minute. This just in …

According to Vice’s Noisey blog, a piece published by Bloomberg‘s Devin Leonard and Annmarie Hordern, suggests, quite forcefully, that “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin” is NOT a Wu-Tang record.

If you believe their investigation, it’s probably a hyped-up project by Moroccan producer and RZA protégé Cilvaringz,” who Noisey ranked as the 13th-best Wu-Tang affiliate in 2014.

The piece quotes from a number of Wu-Tang members and affiliates who were involved in …Shaolin—Killa Sin, Shyheim Franklin, and representatives for U-God and Method Man—who each, in turn, say they have no idea how this ended up as a Wu-Tang Clan album. Essentially, Leonard and Hordern write, it’s a well-made knock-off.

Hmm, if all of the forgoing is true, that means Shkreli got super ripped off and the person who supposedly made the winning eBay bid is also a sucker, right? Well, the difference is, upon hearing this latest news, they can always always cancel the bid.
