*ESPN has announced that it accepts the apology of “Sports Center” host Jemele Hill, who came under fire this week after calling Donald Trump a “white supremacist” on Twitter.

Tons of athletes and ESPN fans came out in strong defense of Hill—and her comments. But the journalist apologized on Wednesday, after getting a mention by Trump’s press secretary at the White House.

“My comments on Twitter expressed my personal beliefs,” she said. “My regret is that my comments and the public way I made them painted ESPN in an unfair light. My respect for the company and my colleagues remains unconditional.”

Minutes later, ESPN followed with a press release accepting her apology.

“Jemele has a right to her personal opinions, but not to publicly share them on a platform that implies that she was in any way speaking on behalf of ESPN. She has acknowledged that her tweets crossed that line and has apologized for doing so. We accept her apology,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, right-wingers are beside themselves that Hill wasn’t fired.

Former major league pitcher Curt Schilling, who was fired from ESPN for comments he made on social media in 2016, took to Sean Hannity’s radio show to vent. “Let’s be very clear about something,” he told the Fox News host, “Jemele Hill has always been a racist — the things that she says, the things that she does — I don’t have a problem the fact that Jemele Hill is racist, that Bomani Jones is racist, and Colin Kaepernick knelt for a lie, and that Disney and ESPN, who they own, supports liberal racism.” He added, “The left has always been the party of racism and intolerance.”
