*Al Sharpton’s daughter spent her 30th birthday in police handcuffs after she allegedly attacked a cab driver and stole his keys, cops said.
Ashley Sharpton, 30, was charged with petty larceny after allegedly shoving and punching the cabbie on the West Side of Manhattan, then, snatching his keys and tossing them, sources told the New York Post.
“She told me it didn’t happen the way they said it happened but I can’t speak for a 30-year-old woman,” Al Sharpton told the New York Daily News.
According to reports, Ashley was partying with friends for her birthday when they all piled into a cab around 1 a.m., telling the driver, “just go, just go.” But without a destination, the driver quickly pulled over at West 48th St and 9th Avenue and demanded a specific location.
Sharpton, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, allegedly grabbed his keys out of the ignition and stalked off. Things got physical when the cabbie got out and tried to grab the keys from Ashley, telling her, “Give me my keys back,” cops said.
“I don’t have your keys,” she allegedly responded before later admitting she tossed them.
One of her friends filmed the entire incident, which cops say shows Ashley punching the driver in the chest before eventually taking off. She was caught roughly two hours later on West 45th Street, where she was given a summons to appear in court at a later date, the Post reported. She was charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Ashley had been celebrating her 30th birthday since Thursday, social media shows, lunching with friends at STK Steak House and Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar on West 72nd.
Earlier on Friday, her famous father gave birthday wishes to his youngest child, whom he praised in a tweet as a “strong black woman and committed activist. So proud to be your Dad.”
