*Remember back in June when social media accused Tamar Braxton of lip syncing her BET performance? Well comedian DeRay Davis reportedly broached the subject during a taping of VH1’s “Hip Hop Squares” on Wednesday and sent Toni’s youngest sister into a rage.
According to TMZ, this all went down on Wednesday (Sept. 6), when DeRay made some sort of joke about Tamar lip-syncing. Per the website, Tamar didn’t hear the joke, but saw other people laughing and asked what was so funny.
Lil Mama reportedly relayed the joke to Tamar, and the singer immediately got defensive She reportedly got in DeRay’s face with her anger. But the comic didn’t back down and said he didn’t care who Tamar was or who her sisters were … because he’d get his own sisters to beat her ass.
According to TMZ, they were eventually separated, filming resumed and the beef was squashed after they hashed things out after the show.
“Hip Hop Squares” returns to VH1 on Sept. 25 at 9/8c.
