*In the midst of preparing for New York Fashion Week, Kimora Lee Simmons has donated $25,000 toward Hurricane Harvey relief in partnership with The Unmentionables, a non-profit which helps displaced people worldwide get access to undergarments and personal hygiene products.

“Undergarments and personal hygiene items are essential needs for all humans. However, these basics are among the most inconsistently provided items during migration crises due to worldwide cultural taboos,” reads a message on its website. “The Unmentionables exists to fill this gap and provide these basic necessities to displaced persons.

“The items and services provided by the Unmentionables include undergarments, feminine and intimate hygiene products, sexual health products, and family-planning related education.”

Simmons plans to visit Houston on Friday, a few days before her NYFW show.

She joins a growing list of celebrities donating large sums to the relief efforts, including Beyonce, Drake, Kevin Hart and Chris Brown.
