Akon Goes in on Trump’s Black Guy at Rally; Calls Him a Sellout … Just Like the GOP – WATCH

*The black dude who was strategically placed behind Donald Trump at his Phoenix campaign rally Tuesday night continues to make news.

As we reported earlier, his name is Maurice Symonette and he also goes by the moniker “Michael the Black Man. ” To say the dude is shady and weird is an understatement.

In any case, Akon thinks Symonette, who constantly made sure he was seen over and over and over by holding a sign at his Phoenix rally saying “BLACKS FOR TRUMP” and wearing a T-shirt proclaiming with equal conviction that “TRUMP & Republicans Are Not Racist” has sold himself — and the black community — out for a quick buck … not unlike the rest of the GOP.

TMZ caught up with the singer/entertainer at LAX, and he gave us his 2 cents on”Michael the Black Man” and as far as he’s concerned he thinks it’s a case of sell-your-soul … a game he also believes is being played by other Republicans to protect Trump.

“This dude is being paid for being there. He’s an idiot for doing it,” Akon responded to the TMZ videographer. It just goes to show how selfish our society is to the point where you don’t think about the long term goal of what this country should become and what people fought for (to get us to this point).”

Hmm, without know what “Michael the Black Man’s” story is, or even if he’s paid by the Trump campaign, Akon is on to something.

In fact, as the Washington Post reports, Michael Symonette, Maurice Woodside and Mikael Israel or whatever names he wants to us, has inspired not only trending Twitter hashtags but a great deal of curiosity and Google searches. Internet sleuths find the man’s bizarre URL, an easily accessible gateway to his strange and checkered past.

The radical fringe activist from Miami once belonged to a violent black supremacist religious cult, and he runs a handful of amateur, unintelligible conspiracy websites. He has called Barack Obama “The Beast” and Hillary Clinton a Ku Klux Klan member. Oprah Winfrey, he says, is the devil.

Most curiously, in the 1990s, he was charged, then acquitted, with conspiracy to commit two murders.

But Michael the Black Man loves President Trump.

It’s unclear whether the White House or Trump’s campaign officials are aware of Michael the Black Man’s turbulent history or extreme political views.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to a Washington Post query about Michael the Black Man by saying, in a Wednesday-morning email: “You would have to contact the campaign.”

The WaPo story goes onto say the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
