*It has been nine years since Bernie Mac passed away but the former Hollywood actor remains in every movie fan’s memory.

Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised by a single mother who passed away because of cancer when he was just 16 years of age, Mac’s entry into the film industry was not easy.

During his 20s, Mac worked a number of menial and less interesting jobs, such as furniture mover and a UPS agent, and it was only in his early 30s that Mac started to get famous and get attention.

After winning the Miller Lite Comedy Search when he was 32, the American’s stand-up comedy career took off and soon movie roles started to come in. After playing small parts in movies such as ‘Mo’ Money’ and ‘House Party 3’, Mac got his first major break in the 1995 war movie The Walking Dead. The film was about five Marines who were assigned to rescue a group of POW during the Vietnam War in 1972. Although the movie was generally poorly received, Mac’s performance was quite good and made him a well-known figure.

Mac’s role as Judge Peabody in Booty Call was also quite notable, and then came his role in Ocean’s Eleven. The 2001 American comedy heist film is one of the best movies of the 21st century and was a huge success both among critics and among the public. Made on a budget of less than $100 million, Ocean’s Eleven grossed over $450m worldwide.

The presence of A-list Hollywood stars such as George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts helped make the movie a massive success, and for helped casinos become a popular theme in films.   And as the movie continues to grow in popularity year after year, so too has interest in online casinos and how they can cater to fans of traditional land-based casinos.  For example, Royal Vegas “Live Dealer” games emulate the experience of sitting at a table with other players.  Royal Vegas also gives out complimentary benefits (like most casinos do for regular players), like a $1,200 bonus for new players who visit this website, that’s full of useful information about online casinos in Canada. It’s the Ocean’s Eleven experience encapsulated in a tablet or phone.

In Ocean’s Eleven, Mac played the role of Frank Catton, an inside man whose responsibility was to gather inside information about Terry Benedict’s casinos. Mac’s humorous take on the character was widely acknowledged, and his natural ability to be funny lent the movie a refreshing comic touch. The different scenes in the casinos would not have been as fun to watch without Mac’s presence.

Mac’s next big movie was Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in which he played the role of Jimmy Bosley. The film was a worldwide success both commercially and critically, and it also led to an online slot game, which is entertaining to play just like many other free slot games. Thereafter, the American actor went onto to star in movies such as  Mr. 3000, Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Thirteen, and Transformers. The American also lent his voice to the character Zuba in the 2008 movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Mac’s last performance in a film was in 2009 in Old Dogs. One wonders how many more movies he could have starred in had he not passed away at the age of 50 due to complications from pneumonia.
