An Inept Donald Trump Speaks on Charlottesville and Blames ‘Many Sides’ Instead of White Supremacy/KKK (WATCH)

*President Donald Trump is proving to be a bigger asshole than many had thought.

That was proven today in his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia today by trying to blame it on “many sides” when the fact is the problem begins and ends with White Supremacists/KKK followers who have whole-heartedly endorsed him.

It should also come as no surprise that that his weak and inept comments about the situation in Charlottesville have drawn outrage and condemnation from Hollywood players, Beltway pundits and even, from his old rival Jeb Bush.

In his speech from Bedminster, N.J., the president said:

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides ― on many sides. It’s been going on for a long time in our country, not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama, it’s been going on for a long, long time,” Trump said at a ceremony for the signing of a bill to reform the Veterans Affairs health care system.

“It has no place in America,” he added. “What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives.”

Trump went on to emphasize that he loves “all the people of our country,” and called for Americans of different races and backgrounds to remember their shared Americanness.

“We wanna get the situation straightened out in Charlottesville and we want to study it,” he said. “We want to see what we’re doing wrong as a country where things like this can happen.”

As we said, a lot of folks took issue with Trump condemning the violence “on many sides,” without specifically calling out the white nationalists whose rally sparked the unrest.

“Did Trump really say that he condemns the violence on ‘many sides’? The white folks with tiki torches brought the violence, own it,” activist DeRay Mckesson.

“What president Trump said in the last ten minutes was a national embarrassment. It was the opposite of leadership,” another critic wrote.

“When terrorists abroad plow cars into crowds Trump condemns ‘radical Islam.’ But when it happens here, he talks of violence ‘on many sides,’” “Star Trek” actor George Takei observed.

“The white supremacists and their bigotry do not represent our great country. All Americans should condemn this vile hatred,” said Jeb Bush

And MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough wrote:

The list of things Donald Trump is too weak and frightened to criticize:
1. Vladimir Putin
2. White Supremacists
3. Neo-Nazis terrorists

Saturday’s “United the Right” rally was organized by white nationalists and alt-right groups in opposition to a planned removal of a Robert E. Lee statue from the University of Virginia’s recently renamed Emancipation Park.
