J.A. Adande to Leave ESPN After 10 Year Run

*J.A. Adande is saying goodbye to ESPN, his workplace for the last decade.

On Thursday (Aug 10), the sports reporter announced via Twitter that he is leaving the network to devote full time to his job as Director of Sports Journalism at Northwestern’s Medill School.

Adande, among Medill’s Class of 92, was named director of the Northwestern program last year. He joined ESPN.com as an NBA columnist in 2007 and has covered the Olympics, Wimbledon the Final Four and the Super Bowl for the network.

“ESPN was not my dream job,” Adande wrote in his tweeted announcement. “ESPN was the place I left my dream job to work for because it was even better.”
