Anti-Gay Pastor Who Said Orlando Victims ‘Got What They Deserved’ Found Guilty of Molesting Teens

*You recall that Georgia pastor who said the victims of the Orlando massacre “got what they deserved,” ….. well, now he’s been found guilty of molesting a young boy and girl who attended his church.

According to Savanna Now, 56-year-old Kenneth Adkins has been found guilty of eight counts of child molestation of a young boy and girl who attended his church.

Kenneth has been very publicly vocal about his anti-gay views and even fought against expanding non-discrimination protections to LGBT people in Jacksonville, Florida. At one point during the battle, he dressed in drag and made threats on Facebook, saying, “I am gonna ‘pee’ next to your women in the women’s bathroom and let’s see how y’all feel.”

According to Savannah Now, Adkins showed no emotion as the jury handed down  the verdict. The four-times married man with 10 children had no family present for the verdict nor any day of the week-long trial. He will be sentenced April 25, and because Georgia has strict mandatory minimum sentencing laws,  and because Adkins has a prior record, there’s a possibility he will never be a free man.

Adkins’ attorney said once his client is sentenced, he’ll file the paperwork for a new trial. There’s also an issue with how the state handled the case. Apparently, Adkin’s attorney maintains the state deliberately withheld pertinent evidence that could have questioned the mental stability of the accuser.

Five of the charges he’s guilty of relate to a female who denied the allegations of sexual abuse. She lived with Adkins and his wife until about a month after his arrest.

“She’s in his clutches,” said Assistant District Attorney Katie Gropper. “What he has done to that girl is not only criminal, it is deplorable.”

Throughout the trial, Adkins attorney tried to poke holes in the state’s case by questioning the motive of male accuser. Apparently, the jury’s quick verdict and unanimous decision came as a shock to both Adkins and his attorney.
