martin lawrence & Roberta Moradfar

*Before we chat about Pharrell‘s house hunting in Miami, let’s just say that perhaps the third time will be a charm for actor Martin Lawrence.

The 51-year-old comedian has proposed to his fiancée, aesthetics nurse practitioner Roberta Moradfar, she revealed in an Instagram.

Sources connected to the couple say Martin worked for months with Iconic Jewels Beverly Hills to create her custom 5 carat emerald cut engagement ring. He added another carat for the band alone, which has Martin and Roberta’s initials spelled out in diamonds. The special ring is said to be worth an estimated $500,000!

Martin popped the question a few hours after the ring was delivered to his home.

This will be his third marriage. Lawrence was engaged to actress Lark Voorhies in 1993. He married Miss Virginia USA, Patricia Southall in 1995. They have one child together, a daughter. Lawrence married Shamicka Gibbs in 2010, at his Beverly Hills home. They have two daughters. Lawrence filed for divorce from Gibbs in 2012, citing irreconcilable differences.
