*About the only person that talks more ish than Donald Trump is this LaVar Ball dude.
It’s one thing to be outspoken, but Ball is on a whole other level with his mouth. As an example, he once claimed his son Lonzo is a better baller than Steph Curry. Yeah, right.
With his latest pronouncement, Ball has divided the public over why he thinks the UCLA Bruins lost in the NCAA Tournament to Kentucky in March: because UCLA’s 3 White players simply weren’t quick enough.
In essence, Ball blamed UCLA’s recent 86-75 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA post season tournament on the Bruins’ three white starters: TJ Leaf, Bryce Alford and Thomas Welsh.
“Realistically, you can’t win no championship with three white guys because the foot speed is too slow,” said Ball, a former World League of American Football player who is the father of senior UCLA guard Lonzo Ball, told the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. “I told Lonzo, ‘One of these games you might need to go for 30 or 40 points.’ It turned out that was the one game. Then once they get to the Elite 8, they’re right there.”
Leaf, Alford, and Welsh combined for 39 points. Meanwhile, Lonzo Ball ended his college basketball career with 10 points, all while opposing Kentucky guard De’Aaron Fox racked up 39 points. Those aren’t Steph Curry type numbers by no stretch.

Guess what? LaVar Ball had predicted the Bruins would win the game.
“People thought [Lonzo] was giving up, but he popped his hamstring,” LaVar Ball said. “He said, ‘I was trying to run, but my hamstring was pulled.’ But he’s never going to make excuses.
At this point Ball is starting to wear out folks’ nerves. Even black social media users were not particularly thrilled with LaVar Ball’s comments about the white players:
Dear White People,
We the African Americans dont claim #LavarBall as one of our own. Please accept him as our gift. From,

Lavar Ball is treading into dangerous waters with his race talks. Imagine if the father of a white player said “can’t win a/ 3 black guys”?

So LaVar Ball can blame 3 white guys for UCLA’s loss but not his son giving up 39 points to the opposing point guard while scoring 10?
