Tommy Davidson Wants ‘In Living Color’ Reboot – Eddie Murphy on ‘Coming to America Sequel’

*What do you think about the idea of an “In Living Color re-do? Well, if Tommy Davidson had his way, it would already be a done deal.

The funnyman spoke to HipHollywood recently about the idea of bringing the classic sketch show back, however wouldn’t or couldn’t commit, saying: “Since it’s not up to me, I’m going to tell you I don’t know when.”

He added:

“I want to do it yesterday because people just deserve it. People really loved that show, we loved doing the show.”

And if the show could somehow return with Davidson, Jamie Foxx, Keenan Ivory and Damon Wayans , David Alan Grier and Jim Carey among others, one name would surely be missing: Jennifer Lopez.

Apparently Jennifer is not even remotely thinking about coming back which is why Davidson cracked on her with this barb: “If we can get her head in the door.”

The 53-year-old comedian/actor was given a chance to take back his comment, his statement, but he didn’t. He just smiled.

Speaking of possible reboots or in this case, a sequel, Eddie Murphy decided to tease fans with the idea of a “Coming to America” follow-up with a simple photo on Twitter:

But then added: “Now, we love ‘Coming to America’ — we really do — but we’re going to have to give this entire idea a ‘nah’.”
