*Brand Maverick Entertainment (BME) president and event creator, Steve Jones, announced today that Golden Globe nominee Issa Rae (creator and star of HBO’s Insecure) and more are scheduled to speak at the fourth installment of The Hollywood Confidential on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills (8440 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211) as a celebration in recognizing the closing of Black History Month.
A pre-conversation “Rising Stars” panel will take place from 6:30-7:15 PM (Doors open at 6:00 PM) featuring actors from hit shows such as Dawn-Lyen Gardner (“Queen Sugar”) and more; immediately followed by “A Conversation with Issa Rae” starting at 7:30 PM.
Powered by Walgreens and presented by SAG-AFTRA, the panel will focus on elements of acting, beauty, health, fitness and the breakthroughs taking place around diversity and inclusion.
In addition, Jones’ BME, Walgreens and SAG-AFTRA will honor this year’s panelists by acknowledging their tremendous contributions made to the entertainment industry through their inclusive and diverse stories and representations.

The event, designed to educate aspiring industry professionals on the inner workings of the entertainment industry, will take place from 7-9PM.
The last panel installment, sponsored by Chick-Fil-A and returning sponsor Walgreens was hailed as an unquestionable success, including participation from the cast of The Perfect Guy (Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy).
