*Before an arrest warrant was issued for Mike Epps on Tuesday, the comedian filmed a visit to “Steve Harvey” to promote his slot on the current “Festival of Laughs” tour.

Inevitably, the conversation turned to Steve’s meeting with then-President Elect Donald Trump at Trump tower, a move that caused a lot of side-eye, as well as a video response from Epps, who joked that Harvey was just trying to buy the White House through HUD.

Harvey got a chance to respond directly to Epps on his talk show, airing today (Feb.22).

The longtime friends also reminisced about the early years of their careers, including Mike’s big break on Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam” and major hits like “Next Friday” and “The Hangover.”

Mike fills viewers in on how he found his gift of comedy, growing up in a very large family with several siblings.

At press time, a warrant was still out for Mike’s arrest after he failed to show up at an arraignment Tuesday morning for his assault case in New Orleans.

Epps and a friend are accused of attacking a man in the Harrah’s Casino at around 4 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18. The alleged victim says he was walking through the casino when he spotted the comedian and said, “Oh, Mike Epps,” according to The Advocate.

The man claims Epps and his friend began striking him in the face. Security eventually came and called police. Epps and the friend, Thomas Cobb, were reportedly arrested for battery, and released on $1,000 bail.
