*This is the kind of behavior that causes folks to scratch their head. What kind of heartless “Christ-follower” would be so cruel as to tell children that Santa doesn’t exist?
But yet and still, one Texas pastor took it upon himself to do so as children stood in line to sit on Santa’s lap by yelling, “The man you’re going to see today is just a man in a suit.”
Needless to say, parents wanted to wring his neck.
“Kids, I want to tell you today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus,” Evangelist pastor David Grisham is heard shouting as he walks alongside a long line of children and their parents.
“The man you’re going to see today is just a man in a suit, dressed up like Santa, but Santa does not exist,” he continues. “Santa’s not real. And parents you all need to stop lying to your children and telling them that Santa Claus is real when in fact he’s not.”
The pastor, who filmed himself and then posted the clip on Facebook claims his intent was to teach kids “that Christmas is about Jesus Christ.”
Parents flooded the Facebook page of Amarillo’s Westgate Mall asking that Grisham be banned.
Westgate Mall acknowledged Grisham’s behavior in a statement sent to The Huffington Post Sunday.
