*Two months ahead of its February 19 debut, the first footage has been released from “The Good Wife” spinoff, “The Good Fight,” airing on the network’s subscription platform CBS All Access.
The first photo was also released, invoking Donald Trump’s “nasty woman” quip to Hillary Clinton that many women began using as rallying cry of empowerment.
As previously reported, Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo from the original series topline “The Good Fight,” which picks up one year after the events of the final episode of “The Good Wife.” A huge financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie), while simultaneously wiping out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart’s (Baranski) savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn (Jumbo) at one of Chicago’s preeminent law firms.
Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele, Justin Bartha, Erica Tazel, Paul Guilfoyle and Bernadette Peters.
Carrie Preston from the original series will also have an arc on the show.
“The Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle King also created “The Good Fight.”
