*NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has taken his love and respect for America’s law enforcement officers one step further by being sworn in by the Clayton County, Georgia sheriff, Victor Hill, at the weekend as an honorary deputy.
Shaq spoke about his desire to become a sheriff to the Independent Journal Review. “I would like to run for sheriff, probably in Orlando or Miami,” he said. “I’ve been down there for a while and, you know, I know how to speak the language on both sides. I can speak corporate, I can speak people language, I speak kiddie language. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I really respect law enforcement officers.”
The 7ft tall former LA Lakers and Miami Heat star has also been designated as an honorary US Deputy Marshal and a reserve police officer with agencies in California, Arizona and Florida, reported Clayton News-Daily.com.
“I remember a time when the local cop was the hero,” O’Neal said. “We need to get back to those times.”
“Welcome to the crime fighting family, Shaq!,” Hill posted to his Facebook page on Saturday.

Sources close to Kanye West tell TMZ that his recovery from a mental breakdown has his creative juices flowing again, and that it may inspire some of his best work… similar to “Through The Wire” and ‘808s’ — both projects were made after Ye experienced trauma (his near-fatal car crash and his mother’s death).
Since he’s been home from the hospital, Kanye has allegedly been more relaxed and focused. He also reportedly built a temporary studio inside the Bel-Air mansion he shares with Kim Kardashain so he can have the privacy he needs to get healthy, while also making new music.
Sources say Kanye’s comparing the breakdown, and 8 day hospital stay, to past traumatic experiences. What caused his breakdown in the first place is that he stopped taking prescribed doses of his usual meds for psychological issues.
The rapper has made his first public appearance since being released from the psyche hospital, and sadly, he STILL looks sad , in shock and traumatized. TMZ caught a glimpse of Yeezy’s taking in an art show Thursday night in Los Angeles and oddly, he’s now sporting blonde hair — see pic below.
