*This year at the 2016 American Music Awards, there was an undeniable excitement from not only fans but other celebrities to see two of the hottest artists, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd perform at the Microsoft Theater.
EURweb associate Jay Styles was on the red carpet and caught up with some of the stars before they headed into the venue to watch the show.
Actress Garcelle Beauvais, stopped by to talk with us about attending the music award show.
“I love music! So excited for tonight and the fact that Bruno Mars is opening the show, you can stop right there.”
After chasing down west coast artist Ty Dolla Sign before he headed to the show; he spoke with us on attending the award show and who he’s looking to see perform.
“I’m nominated for Best Collaboration[Work From Home] with my homegirls Fifth Harmony, definitely honored and excited, Ty Dolla said. And can’t wait to see my brother Bruno Mars come out there and murder.”
Unlike Garcelle Beauvais and Ty Dolla, Dennis Graham (Drake’s daddy) said that he wasn’t excited to see anybody as he rushed down the carpet to head to the show.
After asking Rick Ross on his thoughts about Kanye’s recent rant on supporting Donald Trump; he told us about his new album dropping soon.
“You know I didn’t even get to hear none of that; I’m just getting out, Ross said. You know I’ve been in my hole, I’ve been in the studio, I’ve been working on a team; you see, I’ve been working on an album. They just told me backstage, he[Kanye] mentioned DJ Khaled or something and you know, they told me it wasn’t in a negative light for those that understand Kanye but I haven’t heard it so I can’t speak on something I haven’’t heard.
Rick Ross new album “Rather You Than Me” is expected to drop early 2017.
