*Rickey Smiley, Malik and D’Essence travel to Bogota, Columbia, to visit Aaryn on the next episode of TV One’s Rickey Smiley For Real, premiering Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.

As the group explores the mountainous countryside, Rickey finds time to have a father-son moment with Malik over the topic of dating in today’s social media environment.

“That’s ya’ll problem, 2016 texting generation,” says Rickey. “Snapchat, Instagram, facebook – That’s how ya’ll communicate. Everybody got a social media account. You got chicks in-boxing you. We just didn’t have that kind of game when we [were] in high school.”

Meanwhile back in Atlanta, Gary with da Tea has co-host meetings with TV personalities Derek J and Tiny to test their chemistry and see if they can pull the “thick tea” while discussing current events. Although his producer
thinks the meetings went well, Gary has his reservations.

“With Tiny being such a pillar in the community, as they say, it would be hard for her to talk about any of these [Atlanta] people because she’s friends with almost all of them,” says Gary.

“Hell, everybody knows Tiny, so she wouldn’t be able to pull no real good, thick tea on these folks because that’s just not the law of the land.”

Da Brat gets advice from American hip hop recording artist Jermaine Dupri regarding how to promote her new artist, Cornbread, an up-and-coming rapper who caught her eye with his video posts from Instagram. After following his growth for more than a year, she decides to take the fellow Chicago native under her wing.

“Jermaine Dupri did it for me back in 1991 and I just want to do the same for someone else because it feels so good,” says Da Brat of her new protege.

“He’s gotta good following in Chicago. I took him to a concert in Chicago and people were speaking to him and didn’t know me!”
