Solange To Perform on SNL – Bow Wow, Soulja Boy Release Joint EP

*Solange is coming to Saturday Night Live for her first-ever appearance on the Nov. 5 episode, where she’ll perform two songs from her chart-topping album “A Seat at the Table.”

The Houston-born artist earned her first No. 1 with the project, which highlights the black experience. “A Seat at the Table” arrived in October, almost four years after her “True” album debuted and peaked at No. 157 on the Billboard charts.

Because Solange and Beyonce have now both topped the albums chart, they become the first pair of solo sisters to have done so.

“Doctor Strange” actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be the SNL episode’s host on the night Solange rocks the stage.

A couple of months ago, Bow Wow announced his plans to retire before his 30th birthday in March 2017 — and no one cared. Perhaps he had a spontaneous change of heart because now has teamed up with Soulja Boy for a joint EP. The project is appropriately titled ‘Ignorant Shit’.

Soulja Boy was the first to share the news with an Instagram post that he and Bow Wow have joined forces. Their surprise album dropped October 25, and is available via Apple Music with a tour to follow.

XXXL Mag notes that throughout the project, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow rap about “their luxurious lifestyles over a variety of trap instrumentals.”

Bow Wow spits on the album’s intro track, “Just bought a private jet/We don’t land at LAX/You know Bow get it poppin’/Shh, rich niggas talkin’/Shut up nigga, let me speak mine/Been ballin’ for a long time/You know hoes come and go, dawg/Just like LeBron’s hairline.”
