Roland Martin Blasts CMA for Removing Beyonce from Their Social Media Accounts (WATCH)

*Today on “News One Now,” Host and Managing Editor Roland S. Martin called out the Country Music Association (CMA) for not promoting and removing performance videos of Grammy Award-winning artist Beyonce’s surprise performance with country music group The Dixie Chicks at the 50th Annual Country Music Awards.

After the Country Music Association were said to delete their photos and promotion of Beyonce’s performance due to racially motivated negative comments, Martin says the CMA’s have an obligation to stand up against American hatred and bigotry.

“What you should have done, Country Music Awards, is say how proud you were of Beyoncé and call out those bigots who are trashing her and her performance, who are talking about her dress,” said Martin. ”We don’t care if they don’t like The Dixie Chicks because they criticized President George W. Bush several years ago, but for you to sit here and ignore the bigots out there? No, this is where the Country Music Association needs to man and woman up and hold those folks to task… What the CMA cannot do is be silent in the face of racism. You owe America. You owe your fans to check those who choose to criticize Beyonce. So my suggestion: stop being scared, stop being weak, stop being impotent, put it back on your Facebook page, put it on your Instagram page, put it on your twitter page because, again, America needs to see the bigots out there and expose them for who they really are. So stop being weak because you know if you do and you keep it up Beyhive not gonna like it, and they’re already in formation. And I know folks are still upset because of Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance, but the fact of the matter is this here: she performed, you invited her, you benefitted from it, so stop being weak.”

  1. What dress? Her up on that stage in a see-through mess with a black G-string (and you know what she was trying to emulate) made about as much sense as Pee Wee Herman standing in the middle of a COGIC gospel choir banging on a tambourine. It’s not necessary to have your ass out everywhere you go. It was kind of creepy watching her i n the clip I saw grinding while singing about “daddy”. Maybe I interpreted the song wrong. Was she singing about someone other than Mr. Knowles? I may be in the minority here, but that was just a hot mess. Why would they be proud? The only reason that bottom feeder was up there in the first place is to try to recapture that portion of her fan base that lost when she went all militant. Btw, where did the beaded braids and bare feet disappear to? I noticed they were replaced with the usual fake blond weave.

  2. Nobody in this world has to like everything about someone. I am so sick of people jumping down others throats and the threats and “kiss my ass” attitude when it comes to Beyoncé. For love of GOD JUST STOP IT!
