*The 2015 film “Straight Outta Compton” offered fans a glimpse into N.W.A’s career and the personal lives of the Compton group, including the tragic death of Eazy-E.
The late rapper’s daughter, Ebie Wright, wasn’t quite satisfied with the way her father’s story was told in the film, so she created a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to support her tell-all documentary titled “A Ruthless Scandal.”
Ebie says her mission with the project is to shed light on her father’s final days by correcting discrepancies and clearing up rumors surrounding Eazy’s life and death. She also plans to call out certain individuals who may have inspired numerous conspiracy theories related to his passing.

The documentary will also highlight the rapper’s “accomplishments, his personal life and, really, the aftermath of his demise and what happened to us,” Ebie said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. “We never felt the story that was told to the public was the truth. It’s just something that has always pained us.”
Eazy-E, born Eric Wright, died in 1995 from complications of AIDS. Ebie says the documentary will discuss her tough life following his death. “People have the perception that we were all left everything of his and his kids are good and life is peachy keen, but it’s really not”, she said. “It’s really a tragic story. And it’s just time; it needs to be told.”
Ebie’s mother, Tracy Jernagin, and half-sister, Erica are also producing “A Ruthless Scandal,” and while they’ve chosen Kickstarter to finance the film, they claim many potential investors are interested in the project.
“We’re not accusing anyone,” Jernagin says. “This is going to be very objective. We’re not going to point fingers. We just want to present the facts and let people make their own evaluation of it.”
Unfortunately, their Kickstarter campaign — which has ended — only reached less than 1% of the project’s goal.
