Malcolm-Jamal Warner Books Guest Role on Fox’s ‘Lethal Weapon’

According to Variety, the actor-musician will guest star on Fox’s “Lethal Weapon.” The remake of the film franchise stars Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford as LAPD detectives Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs, played on the big screen by Danny Glover and Mel Gibson.

Warner will play David Reed, the stern captain of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department who is willing to look the other way to protect his men—and his career.

The former “Cosby Show” star last played Al “A.C.” Cowlings on FX’s “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” and recently recurred on “Major Crimes” and “Suits.”

Fox just picked up “Lethal Weapon” for a full season on Wednesday (Oct. 13).
