911 Operator ‘Hung Up on Thousands’ Because She ‘Wasn’t in the Mood to Talk’

*Houston, we’ve got a problem. A BIG one. And her name is Crenshanda Williams, and she is …WAS a 911 operator. Her crime? Hanging up on legitimate 911 callers because she “wasn’t in the mood to talk at the time.”

Williams had apparently made this move on enough occasions that investigators slid in to do some undercover prying. The 911 operator’s logs had shown an excessive amount of “short calls” with a duration of less than 20 seconds before her supervisors were alerted.

Williams had worked in telecommunications with the Houston Emergency Center since July 2014, when it was discovered she had hung up on thousands of callers, some even resulting in death, between Oct. 2015 and March 2016.

According to a NewsFix report, on March 12, Williams hung up on several callers. The first call was ended immediately after she picked it up.

During the second call, an operator — identified as Williams — is heard answering “Houston 911, do you need medical, police or fire?”

When the male caller responded, “This is a robbery,” Williams is heard sighing before hanging up, according to court documents.
