Prop 47 Rally Helps Open Closed Doors

*The Steven Williams Foundation together with The Way World Outreach Church Pastor Marco Garcia will host a Prop 47 Expungement Rally.

The goal of this event is to help educate and encourage men and women who are in need of a second chance.  Together with the San Bernardino, Los Angeles and Riverside Public Defender’s office we will provide tools for felony reduction to misdemeanor, expungement and Department of Rehabilitation applications.

Prop 47 Rally

In attendance will be educational centers, employers, financial aid representatives, and ministry.

We must get this word out now, because filing for Proposition 47 ends November 2017.  Unfortunately, many of those who need this new start are not aware of this amazing free opportunity.  Knowledge is power, so help us get the word out to those who desire a new beginning.

Invited guests include Regina King, Ja’net Dubois,  Kim Carter from “CNN Heroes,” Dr. Joel McLeod, Don Blade, Dr. Lisabeth Britton (UCLA), Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Scott Julion.

My testimony is that by God’s saving grace, I have gone “From the Walls of Prison to the Halls of UCLA.”  During my incarceration I gave my life to Christ and made a live-saving decision to walk in the light.  Despite my many successes, sadly, my last employer let me go because of the mistake I made in 1988.

Thank God I learned of California’s Prop 47, which gives felons a fresh start.  It has helped me and now I want to help others.
