*Cheo Hodari Coker, the executive producer and showrunner for “Marvel’s Luke Cage,” has revealed that Pop’s swear jar was inspired by a certain music icon who Coker hoped would shoot a cameo for the series.

“The ‘Swear Jar’ was for Prince. I was going to show him the first two episodes and convince him to play in episode 13,” Coker tweeted Wednesday.

Prince famously fined people for using profanity in his presence at Paisley Park – supposedly $20 per curse word.

Unfortunately, the icon passed away on April 21st at his Paisley Park estate before Coker could make his pitch.

It’s unclear what Coker had planned for Prince in the episode. It’s likely His Royal Badness would’ve worked the stage at Cottonmouth’s club Harlem’s Paradise, where other major talent has performed throughout the first season.
