Viola Davis: ‘No More Sex Scenes’ On ‘How to Get Away with Murder’

*Viola Davis has warned Shonda Rhimes that she won’t be taking her clothes off for risqué sex scene on the new season of “How to Get Away with Murder.”

“I told them no more sex scenes,” the actress said during an appearance Monday on “Ellen.”

“They threw me up against the wall in the first season and I threw my back out for two weeks — and my hip,” Davis explained. “So I limped around for two weeks and I said, ‘No more walls.’”

She added: “I just want to be on a bed and I don’t want to move,” Davis said. “I don’t want anyone on top of me and I don’t want to be on top of anyone else.”

The Emmy winner also shared with Ellen her decision not to allow her 6-year-old daughter, whom she adopted with husband Julian Tennon in 2011, to attend a Beyonce concert, and how the child had a fit over it.

“She said, ‘You don’t know what “Lemonade” means to me, Mommy. You don’t know what Beyoncé means to my life,’” Davis recalled. She also said daughter Genesis is an aspiring actress. but as Davis told her, there’s more to life than chasing the spotlight.

“You better remember how to go to school, and then at 18, you need to remember how to get out of the house and pay your own bills,” she quipped.

Davis has starred as lawyer Annalise Keating on the hit ABC drama “How to Get Away with Murder” since 2014. In 2015, she became the first black woman to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The role also won her two SAG Awards in 2015 and 2016. In 2012, she was listed by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

“How to Get Away with Murder” returns Thursday, Sept. 22.
