*Lil Wayne says he has been “blessed” never to have experienced racism in his 33 years on earth. Also, the rapper said he has no opinion on the Colin Kaepernick controversy because he “kinda” doesn’t know what his protest of the national anthem is all about.

The rapper appeared as a guest on FS1’s new debate series “Undisputed” (which features his track “No Mercy” as its theme song) and got into the show’s ongoing discussion about race.

Since the series premiere last Tuesday, Kaepernick’s decision not to stand during the national anthem until America addresses it’s race problem has been discussed in some form between hosts Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless.

Weezy, born and raised in New Orleans, was asked by Bayless about race relations and his day-to-day experiences as a black man in America.

“God knows I have been nothing but blessed, my whole path, these 33 years have been nothing but a blessing,” he said. “I have never – and never is a strong word – never dealt with racism. I’m glad I didn’t have to.

“Not only did I thought [sic] it was over, I still believe it’s over, but obviously it isn’t.”

The segment began with Lil Wayne being asked to weigh in on Kaepernick’s protest. He declined, saying he didn’t know enough about it.

“I respect the man and his decision, that’s all I can do,” he said. “I’m not into it enough to even give it an opinion. So when he did it, somebody had to tell me why he was doing it. That’s how much I didn’t know what was going on. And I kinda still don’t.

“Somebody had to explain, are you doing it for the Black Lives Matter thing, and all that wave or whatever? That whole wave just went by me too fast for me to try to even give an opinion.
