*”The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” NeNe Leakes owes almost $830,000 in back taxes according to theJasmineBRAND.com. The reality star, whose real name is Linnethia Monique Leakes, was hit with a federal tax lien on July 22 in a Georgia court.

According to the documents, the IRS hit Leakes with the tax bill for unpaid taxes for income she received in 2014. The same year she starred as a regular cast member on Bravo’s RHOA. Leakes also competed on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
The IRS is demanding payment and Leakes’ assets and properties may begin to be seized in order to collect on her debt. The state of California recently added an additional $86,000 in delinquent taxes for income she earned in the same year.
Meanwhile, despite a report claiming that NeNe is broke, Gossip Cop exclusively reports that she’s far from it.
A recent headline in Star read, “NeNe’s Broke! And It’s Not A Joke.” The accompanying story says that Leakes is trying to laugh off her tax lien, “but friends say her cavalier attitude with cash is what got her into this mess.”
“She likes to live large,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying. “She’s obsessed with looking rich and being flashy because she grew up in the poorhouse. But if she’s not careful, that’s exactly where she’ll end up!”
The magazine says, “Despite NeNe’s stints on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ she can’t stop spending more than she earns. For example: The 48-year-old recently shelled out $2 million for a six-bedroom megamansion in Atlanta, for the sake of appearances.”
Gossip Cop reports that Leakes has hired a new business manager to better handle her finances.
