*Nas‘ daughter Destiny Jones‘ lipstick line, “Lipmatic” has launched after he announced the spring collection on Instagram, according to Hip Hop DX.
The collection is a play on the title of Nas’ debut album, “Illmatic.” He posted a photo on Instagram of his daughter and three other models sporting the lip gloss.
“Beautiful Ladies Everywhere!! My daughter’s New Spring Colors are out now!! Get you some @lipmatic!! GO DES! #LipMatic,” Nas said on Instagram.
During a 2012 interview, Nas expressed what it was like raising his daughter in age where there’s technology and the Internet. Now she’s using social media to her advantage with her own business.
“She’s a good kid,” Nas said in 2012. “With the new age, with computers, the kids get a chance to do a lot more than we did when we was teenagers.”
“They do so much more. So the way they pop off, [that’s] the way they bring attention to they whole thing…And part of it is our fault,” he added.
“They see what’s going on in the entertainment business, in show business, so the internet gives them a way to act like they’re in that game now,” he continued. “They can feel like they can talk to the world through the internet, so everybody’s doing all kinds of mess on the internet.”
