Vin Diesel Developing Procedural Drama ‘First Responders’ for NBC

*Vin Diesel is developing a new procedural drama at NBC that will focus on the attempt of young veterans to reintegrate into society, while saving civilian lives along the way.

Currently titled “First Responders,” the story centers on the best search-and-rescue operation in the country, run by husband-and-wife duo, Doc and Lil Pierce, reports TheWrap. “But the pair struggle as they have been unable to find their own son, who disappeared years earlier.

Diesel will executive produce under his One Race Television banner, which currently has a first look deal with Universal Television.

ASAP Entertainment will co-produce. Jesse Stern, known for his work on “NCIS” and the “Call of Duty” and “Titanfall” video games, will write the script.
