*Kenya Barris, the creator of ABC’s hit comedy “Black-ish,” has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Under the pact, Barris will develop a feature film project for the studio under his newly established production banner, Khalabo Ink Society.

“We are thrilled to be in business with Kenya,” said Stacey Snider, who recently took over for Jim Gianopulos as the chairman and CEO of 20th Century Fox Film. “He is a creator with an incredibly authentic voice — at a time when original storytellers are more valuable than ever.”

Meanwhile, Barris has another overall deal with ABC Studios, where he’ll continue to develop new ideas for network, cable and streaming series.

“As we expand our comedic franchise we at Khalabo Ink Society are overjoyed to have found a partner in Fox, that shares our same sentiment in storytelling,” Barris said in a statement.

The scribe recently wrote the script for “Barbershop: The Next Cut,” which grossed over $55 million at the global box office. He also co-wrote the upcoming comedy “Girls Trip,” which is set to star Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall, for Universal.

He’s also currently developing a remake of “Shaft” and is set to pen a feature based on the hit TV show “Good Times” for Sony.
