*After teasing a “new dance experience” over the weekend, Drake officially announced the 2017 grand opening of his Houston-based nightclub, The Ballet…which some are calling a “strip club” even though he swears it’s not.

Drizzy hosted a pop-up version of the club on Monday night in conjunction with his concert at Houston’s Toyota Center, telling those gathered, “Tonight is a different take on how it should be done in Houston. Treat yourself don’t cheat yourself. Where the women are on a pedestal and the surroundings are unforgettable.”

The Drake fansite Word on Road posted a video of Drake explaining the concept at the pop-up, telling the audience, “There’s a culture out there of dancing and it’s not about no strip club s–t. It’s really just about these amazing women that we’ve got in one spot, the music that we’ve got, and the Houston culture that we got. I just wanna let you know that I’m going to bring it to you in the most honest and genuine way possible.”

Despite denying that Ballet is a strip club, reports to the contrary persist online – so much so that a spokesperson for the rapper came out and confirmed to Billboard, “it is not a gentleman’s club.”
