*“The Birth of a Nation” is in the lineup for the upcoming BFI London Film Festival, and its director, writer and star, Nate Parker, is scheduled to be among the filmmakers attending the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Parker, whose recent comments regarding his 1999 rape allegation while he was a student at Penn State, prompted the AFI to cancel its scheduled Q&A over the growing controversy.

As previously reported, the Toronto Film Festival has added a press conference with Parker and the rest of his cast to its lineup this month.

BFI’s festival, which revealed its full lineup Thursday, will also screen Ava DuVernay’s prison reform doc “The 13th” and Mira Nair’s “Queen of Katwe” starring Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo.

The festival will open on Oct 5 with Amma Asante’s “A United Kingdom” and close on Oct. 16 with “Free Fire” from Ben Wheatley.
