*Fox has tapped “The Office” alum Craig Robinson and “Parks and Recreation” vet Adam Scott for its new comedy pilot “Ghosted,” described as a comedic take on its paranormal-themed drama “The X-Files.”

The story centers on Leroy Wright (Robinson), a cynical, hilarious skeptic, and Max Allison (Adam Scott), a genius “true believer” in the paranormal, who are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.

Tom Gormican (“That Awkward Moment”) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Robinson, Scott and his wife and producing partner Naomi Scott, as well as 3 Arts’ Mark Schulman and Oly Obst, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Scott and Robinson previously starred together in 2015’s “Hot Tub Time Machine 2.”

Up next for the actor is hosting duties for Spike’s “Caraoke Showdown” series. He last starred on NBC’s short-lived “Mr. Robinson” in addition to an arc on USA Network’s “Mr. Robot” and multiple guest spots on Fox’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
