*The hack of Leslie Jones’ website, iCloud and cell phone is now a federal case.
According to TMZ, the FBI is currently developing a strategy to snuff out those responsible for posting the 48-year-old comedian’s driver’s license, passport information and several nude photos.
Via TMZ:
It’s unclear whether agents from the West Coast or East Coast will launch the investigation … Leslie lives in both New York and L.A. From what we can gather, this is exclusively an FBI investigation … we’ve checked with both the NYPD and the LAPD and they don’t have the case.
Haters have been trying to break Jones for months. In the weeks leading up to her premiere in the recent “Ghostbusters” film, the “Saturday Night Live” star was on the receiving end of vile racist and sexist cyber bullying, with Twitter trolls comparing her to gorillas, among other insults. As a result, she quit the social platform for a few days.
Jones has yet to comment on the computer hack.
