*Halle Berry gets rather reckless in her desperate attempt to rescue her kidnapped son in the first trailer for “Kidnap.”
The trailer starts off with mother and son (Sage Correa) happily playing Marco Polo at an amusement park…until Berry’s shout of “Marco” goes unanswered.
Turns out a woman has taken the boy. Berry catches her putting him into a turquoise-colored sedan, which she runs down and clings to unsuccessfully as it speeds off.
She alerts the police, but winds up taking matters into her own hands, stalking the sedan for the rest of the trailer – at one point, even driving backwards on the freeway.
“Wherever you go, I will find you,” she declares. “You took the wrong kid.”
Luis Prieto directs the action thriller from a script by Knate Gwaltney. Relativity bought distribution rights for “Kidnap” at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival, then delayed its release several times as it went through a bankruptcy reorganization last year, according to Variety.
“Kidnap” will finally arrive in theaters on Dec. 2.
