Meanwhile, the wildly popular British comedy series “Absolutely Fabulous” arrives in theaters this week, and Cosmopolitan editor Joanna Coles hosted a Champagne luncheon for stars Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders.
While discussing Kate Moss’ dip into the Thames in the film during a Q&A, Lumley revealed that supermodel Naomi Campbell appeared in an early episode of the series, but showed up three hours late.
“You’re working with a lot of very professional actresses. They all pitched up on time, and they know their lines. Darling, you’ll do that tomorrow, or you’re out,” Lumley recalled a stern floor manager telling Campbell. The hot-tempered diva showed up at 9 a.m. the next day.
“So maybe in her past, nobody’s ever asked her to be on time — they just expected her to be a diva,” Saunders quipped.
