*Shonda Rhimes wants to make something clear. “Scandal” is not ending anytime soon.
On Wednesday, “Good Morning America” misquoted the show’s creator and executive producer saying that the upcoming season would be its last.
After showing photos posted on social media of the cast returning to work, “GMA” host Lara Spencer said, “A little bittersweet however, because it has been said that this is also going to be the final season.”
Michael Strahan asked, “Who said that?”
“I’m afraid to say, Shonda Rhimes said it,” Spencer said.
This is when Rhimes took to Twitter.
“Whoa, @GMA,” the Grey’s Anatomy creator tweeted. “I never said this was the final season of #scandal. Way to make me spit out my coffee.”
Whoa, @GMA: I never said this was the final season of #scandal. Way to make me spit out my coffee!
