(Watch) NBA’s Metta World Peace Talks BlackLivesMatter and Athletes Speaking Out

NBA player Metta World Peace who spent last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, discusses #blacklivesmatters, athletes speaking out on social injustice, and current social unrest with attorney Antonio Moore.

He also gives his opinion on the ESPYs speech delivered by Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Paul. When asked what he thought about the ESPY opening, while expressing admiration for the four players his comments were blunt.

“It didn’t really do nothing for me, because like, I feel like when you from the hood you got to come out early. You got to speak earlier than that…I’m very proud of them for bringing stuff to light but you got to do it when bad things are not happening even when the world is at ease and at peace its still people in the hood that need to know that they can relate to you.”
