*Two days after Melania Trump’s karaoke performance of Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic Convention speech, the First Lady’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment filmed last month at the White House will air on CBS’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
On Wednesday’s show, FLOTUS and Corden will sing “This Is For My Girls,” described as a “girl power anthem” intended to promote full access to education worldwide.
Written by Grammy-winner Diane Warren and includes artists Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele and Zendaya. No word if any of the artists featured on “This Is For My Girls” will join Mrs. Obama and Corden in the “Carpool Karaoke” video. The song was released in March after the first lady spoke at the South by Southwest festival in Texas.
From the teaser clip posted Monday night at www.makers.com/thisisformygirls, we also learn that Obama will tackle Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” – hand flip choreography and all.
