*Universal is moving forward with plans to release a “Furious 8.” Vin Diesel announced it during Cinema Con in Las Vegas. “’Furious 8′ already has a release date: April 14, 2017.”
Other cast Tyrese and Ludacris announced it on their Instagram profiles. Although after seven films, this isn’t that big of a surprise.
Dwayne Johnson told HipHollywood during the promotion for “Furious 7” that there’s a strong possibility the franchise will continue on.
“I think there may be another one,” said Johnson. “I think there are a few more miles left on this franchise. They are talking about it now and we can have early discussions about it now which I’m cool with. But I think let’s let ‘Furious 7’ come out and see how the fans respond to it.”
“Furious 7” is definitely doing very well in box office. The film made more than $1.3 billion worldwide thus far, according to Box Office Mojo.
