*Rapper French Montana will appear in the season 3 “Empire” premiere as music mogul Vaughn, a member of Lucious Lyon’s powerful inner circle. There are whispers that he could be a potential love interest for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).
Series co-creator Lee Daniels teased Montana’s appearance — as well as Birdman, who plays himself — on his Instagram account last Thursday.
Many people came to know Montana’s name by way of his previous relationship with reality star Khloe Kardashian. And Birdman has been making headlines lately over his surprising relationship with singer Toni Braxton.
Traci Braxton talked about her sister dating the Cash Money co-founder and said the relationship seems strange to her.
“He’s been in the family for such a long time, so it’s like almost incest,” said Tracy. “It’s like kissing your brother in the mouth or something … They’re such good friends, so he’s like another fly on the wall … As long as he treats her right [I’m okay with it], because you know us girls are going to dominate the whole relationship anyway,” she added.
Meanwhile, the second season of “Empire” ended with Rhonda and Anika fighting on the edge of a balcony and one of them apparently falling. In May, showrunner Ilene Chaiken confirmed the death of one character, but didn’t reveal the name.
