“Love Thy Neighbor” airs on the Oprah Winfrey Network and debuted on May 29, 2013. The series is written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry, and is the second highest series premiere on OWN, second to Perry’s other program on the network “The Haves and the Have Nots.”

The comedy centers on the Love Train Diner, an old locomotive car converted to a diner that serves up all of Hattie Mae’s old recipes. It is the neighborhood hang out spot that serves up a lot of great food, fun and advice to its diverse customers.

A former model for huge campaigns such as UGGS Australia, Nike and Bose, Hall’s other credits include stage productions of William Shakespeare’s “Othello” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

His first major television role is “Love Thy Neighbor,” where he plays Danny Harris, a sensitive, and straight-laced young man who could be considered a “mama’s boy” because he’s very protective of his mother. Andre told us that it’s a quality he shares with Danny because he also loves his mama.

Hall confessed that after four seasons, the one thing the series has taught him to do is learn how to trust himself. Check out our chat in the clip above.

“Love Thy Neighbor” airs Fridays 9/8c on OWN.
