*He’s not part of the coaching staff, but former NFL receiver Chad Johnson literally tweeted himself into some kind of an instructor gig with the Cleveland Browns.

Johnson had been reaching out via Twitter to Cleveland coach Hue Jackson, who was with the Cincinnati Bengals when Johnson was on the team as Ochocinco.

Jackson agreed that Johnson could come in for a portion of the Browns’ camp — not as part of the coaching staff, but as a quasi-guest instructor.

This all started Monday with Johnson tweeting that he could help receivers run better routes.

He then tweeted that he was going to ask Jackson for employment…

Chad also hit up Hue indirectly through the Browns’ back in March:

And today, persistence paid off…

Johnson is not the only former player who will help during camp. Former Browns running back Earnest Byner will work with the backs. Byner, who was a major part of the documentary “Believeland” about Cleveland sports, worked with the backs in the offseason as well.
