President Obama, Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae Sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Malia (Watch)

*President Obama’s last Fourth of July celebration at the White House coincided with another big event in the POTUS household – daughter Malia’s 18th birthday.

The annual White House cookout concert for military families had to be moved from the South Lawn into the East Room due to rain, but scheduled performers Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae and special guest Jidenna still rocked the crowd, and were on hand with vocal support when President Obama sang Happy Birthday to his eldest child.

Earlier in the day…

Lamar, 29, kicked things off by performing his hits “Swimming Pools, “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” and “Alright.” Monáe also sang her popular singles and she capped off her set list with Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.”

“I want to acknowledge a musical mentor, he always tried to change the world, we love you Prince,” she said before ending her performance.
